These really are pretty garden plants that are happy in even quite boggy soils.
So named the Monkey Flower because the narrow Antirrhinum-shaped flowers have a splotch of contrasting colour in the centre which is said to make them resemble monkey faces - though we have to say you need a good imagination to make the link!
For that dash of colour these moisture-loving perennials will add character and interest to the garden or even the pond side; bright cheerful shades of scarlet, bright pink, creamy yellow and orange.
